Utflukt

First assignment:
I made this for Utflukt‘s issue about Isabelle Eberhardt. It is my first drawing using ink on paper. I made many different versions, trying out different pens, brushes and techniques. When the deadline came I still wasn’t happy with it. I made this last version, but missed the printing!

Second assinment:
I have been given a second chance. My Illustration is for an article about Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (Chantal Akerman, 1975). I saw the film, read the article and came up with this little concept that is tied to the themes in the article. I took snapshots of a sequence in the film, added something and made this drawing using pencil on paper. Follow the white rabbit!
